Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer is typically renowned for her gorgeous fashion choices — but a recent photo shoot with Marie Claire Italia has sparked quite a response among fans of the royals.

The 27-year-old — whose father, Charles Spencer, was the late royal’s brother — raised many an eyebrow by wearing a dazzling statement necklace by Bulgari in the shoot: The high-end jeweler’s aptly named “Happy Leaves” necklace is decked with marijuana leaves hanging on a gold and green chain.

Given her link to the royal family, where females are restricted from wearing anything daring — even colorful nail polish — Spencer was clearly pushing the boundaries with the drug reference.

But fans were loving the rebellious style.

“Di’s niece adorned with marijuana leaf jewelry #fashiongoalz,” one commented, while another wrote, “Yessss! Happy necklace indeed!”

Fans also marveled over her resemblance to her famous aunt, who died exactly 21 years ago, on Aug. 31, 1997.

“I see so much of Diana in you, gorgeous!” one exclaimed.

“You favor your beautiful aunt, Princess Diana, so much,” said another.

Despite the similarities, Spencer, who was only 6 when Diana died, has said she has few memories of the princess.
