It's no secret that Kate Middleton loves a stylish boot, from her go-to Stuart Weitzmans to her Le Chameau wellies. But there's one pair that has held a special place in the Duchess's fashionable heart since long before she joined the royal family—and it looks like she's passing down that love to her daughter, Princess Charlotte.

The boots in question, Penelope Chilver's Long Tassel Boots, have been in Kate's closet rotation as far back as 2004 when the future Duchess of Cambridge wore them while posing for photographers at the Game Fair at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. The chic, zip-up style updates the classic riding boot look with long leather tassels on the zippers. While the brand doesn't make a lot of children's shoes, they do make an exception with the limited-edition Mini Me Midcalf Tassel Boot style, creating a tiny double of their adult boots complete with cozy fleece lining.

It was only natural that Kate would snap up a pair for her little princess, and we all got to see just how adorable they look on Charlotte in the Cambridge's official Christmas card. In the photo, the 5 year old sported the boots with jeans, a cozy sweater, and a ruffled collared shirt—a sweet, kid version of Kate's signature casual style.

Obviously the royals aren't the only ones who love the look—the Mini Me boots have proven so popular there's currently a waitlist, but you can add your little one's name to the list (and snag an adult sized pair for yourself too) at Penelope Chilvers.
