Princess Charlotte is 'obsessed' with fashion, reveals dad Prince William

She may be only three, but Princess Charlotte is already following in Duchess Kate's fashionista footsteps with her knack for style.

While in Liverpool on Tuesday, Prince William discussed his daughter's "obsession" with clothes after a royal fan gifted him a pink backpack embroidered with Charlotte's name.

"Charlotte will be obsessed with that – I'll never be able to get it off her," the dad-of-three joked. The Duke of Cambridge was also gifted blue satchels for Prince George and Prince Louis.

Charlotte's  love for pink and accessorizing is apparent -- just take her adorable pink dress she wore to this year's Trooping the Colour, and the adorable pink sunglasses she sported at the following day's charity polo match.

And while mom Kate is known for her fondness of hand-me-downs in dressing her children, she also regularly color-cordinates Charlotte's outfit to match hers, especially at official royal events.

Explained fashion expert Simon Glazin to The Daily Mail, "The mini-me matchy matchy trend has to be well executed to pull it off, and Kate's stylist, Natasha Archer, has done a brilliant job with the Duchess and Princess." Both Kate and Charlotte's outfits regularly sell-out online, no matter the price.

The "Princess Charlotte Effect" has brought momentous fame and media attention to the British royal family as well as the tourism industry. With an expected worth of over $4.3 billion at just 3, Charlotte has a "positive impact on the particular clothes and toys brands they wear and play with," revealed Brand Finance's CEO David Haigh to Business Insider.

Duchess Kate, Prince George and even Prince Louis have the same effect, though Charlotte's impact on the British economy is much bigger than her older brother's.

Michael: Don't just "Vote I November," RESEARCH AND VOTE IN NOVEMBER.... See, here's my problem with people just saying "Vote in November:" I think it should be "Research and Vote in November." Why? I think people are relying too much on things like Social media to tell them who to vote for, instead of relying on good, old fashioned research of each and every candidate like we use to do before social media even existed. We also did vote more when we researched our candidates. Think about that for a minute. I just want people to educate and inform themselves.
