Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi Shared New Photos From Their Intimate Royal Wedding

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice have offered an additional glimpse into their small but completely stunning wedding on July 17. Because of the coronavirus, the ceremony was limited to just a couple of guests, including her grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Still, the couple looked overjoyed and has happily shared more photos from the special day.

A few new shots, taken by photographer Benjamin Wheeler, were posted on the official Royal Family Instagram account on Sunday, July 19. They offer a particularly close look at Princess Beatrice's gorgeous fringed tiara and vintage wedding dress, designed by Norman Hartnell. Both had a special connection to the queen: Hartnell also designed the queen's wedding gown in 1947, and the tiara is the same one she wore for her own nuptials.

"Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi have been touched by the warm wishes they have received since their wedding, and are delighted to share two additional photographs of their happy day," the caption in the post said. "The pictures show Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi in the grounds of Royal Lodge after their wedding."

The couple had originally planned to get married on May 29 in a more elaborate affair, but the pandemic changed their plans a bit. They got engaged last year while spending time in Italy.

Mozzi and Princess Beatrice seemed to take the changes in stride. Mozzi also shared several of the photos on his own Instagram and dedicated a poem to his new wife. "I carry your heart with me (i carry it in)," the poem by E.E. Cummings reads. "I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)."

On Saturday, the royal account shared the first images from the affair, including a photo of the Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh standing at a six-foot distance from the smiling newlyweds.
