Prince William and Kate Middleton Share a Sweet New Photo of Prince Louis

From Town & Country

Back when Prince Louis turned two, Prince William and Kate Middleton commemorated the milestone by sharing a series of colorful photos of their youngest child. The pictures, which were taken by the Duchess, show the youngster playing (somewhat precariously) with rainbow paint.

A second set of photos revealed that some of that paint actually ended up on the royal's face.

But now it seems, a more formal portrait of Prince Louis was also taken that same day. Often, if you send a message to the royals to mark an occasion like a birthday or an anniversary, their office will reply with a message of thanks and a photo.

One royal fan, who runs the Instagram account @katsroyalletters, did just that, sending a note to wish Prince Louis a happy birthday. In response, she received a new, previously unseen photo of the young royal, which she went on to post on social media. Given that Louis is wearing the same shirt, it's fairly safe to assume it was taken by Kate on the same day back in April.

On the back of the card was a message of thanks from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which reads:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appreciated your kind thought in writing to Prince Louis as you did on the occasion of his second birthday. This was greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their best wishes."
