Prince William Had Princess Charlotte and Prince George Rehearse Their Christmas Walk

Prince George and Princess Charlotte made their Christmas walk debut at Sandringham this year, and everyone can agree that it was a huge success. During their first-time appearance, the Cambridge children hugged well-wishers, graciously accepted gifts, and little Charlotte even expertly curtsied to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

While George and Charlotte are natural pros, they really wowed fans on Christmas Day, and it might be due to a "dress rehearsal" the young royals had a few days in advance to prepare for the outing.

"It is understood Prince William took Charlotte and brother George, six, to the 16th Century church before Christmas to familiarize them with its layout and explain about the well-wishers," The Daily Mail reported.

Clearly, all that practice paid off.

With Harry and Megan skipping the tradition and the recency of Prince Andrew's scandal, the Palace was reportedly worried about how the walkabout would be received by the public. However, those fears were immediately put to rest following George and Charlotte's pitch perfect performance.

"That was simply a happy bonus and it was a beautiful day," a source said about Will and Kate's two oldest children joining the festivities. In other words, George and Charlotte saved the day.
