Just hours after Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their newborn son, the proud dad dashed back to Kensington Palace to pick up Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Now the happy family will unite as a group of five for the first time ever.

The Duke of Cambridge and his two oldest children just arrived at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's to check on mom and the tiny prince. The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth at 11 a.m. this morning, London time to a healthy baby boy. The little brother is two years younger than his sister and four years younger than Prince George.

Prince William appeared totally cool and confident; he's clearly got the dad role down! As for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, they looked so grown up! This is their first public appearance since their tour to Germany last July.

Princess Charlotte stole the show with her adorable waving - she even turned back and gave the cameras one more pose before entering the hospital! She was wearing blue in honor of her new baby brother. Her dress looked similar to one she wore last summer.

Prince George showed up in his uniform for Thomas’s Battersea School, complete with a sweater and knee socks. As the oldest, he'll have to show the newest royal the ropes.

Even though he's less than a day old, the prince has already made history. Thanks to the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, the baby's gender did not impact Princess Charlotte's place in line to the throne. While a younger son would have previously taken precedence over an older girl, Princess Charlotte remains at fourth and the new prince takes over at fifth for uncle Prince Harry.

The baby's given names remain unknown, but his official title will read as "His Royal Highness Prince [Name] of Cambridge."
