Prince William Was Asked About the Royal Baby’s Impending Arrival—and His Response Was Surprising

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby due literally any day now, everyone is eagerly awaiting news that the Duchess of Sussex is in labor. But when a royal fan asked Prince William to share any news he had about Baby Sussex's impending arrival, he had a pretty surprising update for everyone. You would think Harry's older brother would be in the loop, but it turns out the Duke of Cambridge isn't keeping close tabs on whether his niece or nephew is on the way already (unlike us!).

According to Town and Country, William was asked if there was "Any sign of the royal baby?" during his solo trip in New Zealand. To which he jokingly responded, "I haven't got my phone on me—I have no idea. You guys will find out before I do at this rate."

William's update came days after it was revealed that he and wife Kate Middleton secretly visited Harry and Markle on Easter. The Fab Four hung out at Frogmore House following the Easter service in Windsor on Sunday, April 21. (Markle was unable to attend church at St George’s Chapel as she nears the end of her pregnancy.)

Markle's exact due date has been kept under wraps since she first announced her pregnancy in October 2018. She previously hinted the royal baby was due in late April or early May—and though many have speculated she was going to go into labor this weekend, it was announced that Harry would be attending the London Marathon to hand out medals.

We can safely assume Markle isn't expected to welcome the couple's first baby just yet, even though this could change at any given moment. Exciting times are ahead, folks.
