Update on Prince Philip’s health as he enters another week of hospitalization. Royal correspondent Rebecca English reports that “the Duke of Edinburgh was today transferred from King Edward VII’s Hospital to St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where doctors will continue to treat him for an infection as well as undertake testing and observation for a preexisting heart condition.”

According to Buckingham Palace, via English, “The Duke remains comfortable and is responding to treatment but is expected to remain in hospital until at least the end of the week.”

Royal reporter Richard Palmer notes that this update comes as broadcasters “camped outside” the hospital noticed that a patient was transported into an ambulance behind screens, prompting speculation that the patient in question was Prince Philip.

The duke, who is 99, was initially hospitalized after not feeling well and spent 14 days and 13 nights at King Edward VII Hospital in London, per CNN. The news outlet also reports that the Queen and Philip’s youngest son, Prince Edward, recently told the UK’s Sky News that his father was doing “a lot better” and that “we’ve had some brilliant and lovely messages from all sorts of people. And we really appreciate that and so does he. I’ve been passing them on.”

Here’s to hoping Prince Philip feels better and is able to return home soon.
