Prince Harry Steps Out to Celebrate a Very Special Anniversary…Without Meghan

Prince Harry just stepped out in honor of the fifth anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Today, the 34-year-old royal attended a reception at the Guildhall in London. Prince Harry looked dapper in a blue suit and a green tie, along with an Invictus Games badge on his lapel.

Prince Harry first launched the Invictus Games back in 2014. The idea originated after he attended the Warrior Games in Colorado and saw how competitive sports had a positive impact on the recovery of injured military personnel.

So, the Duke of Sussex created the Invictus Games, which is a global tournament for injured and wounded servicemen and women.

During the fifth anniversary celebration, Prince Harry gave a speech about how far the organization has come. He revealed that none of it would be possible without the support of the competitors.

“Wow, what a huge amount has happened in five years,” he said, according to The Daily Mail. “The one thing that hasn’t happened is limbs haven’t grown back. But one thing I can assure you is that mental health has completely changed with every single one of these individuals. We always knew that it was going to be great for the competitors and their families but that ripple effect that literally swept across the globe was quite astonishing.”

Cheers to five years (and many more to come)!
