Prince Harry Speaks Out About Those Nude Photos

Last week, Prince Harry sat down for another tell-all interview, this time not with Oprah, but rather Dax Shepard and Monica Padman of the popular podcast Armchair Expert. The Duke of Sussex opened up about a number of personal topics including his issues with royal life, how therapy has helped shape his current perspective, why he's so passionate about mental health, and what life is like now for his family in California.

"Here I am, I’ve now moved my whole family to the U.S. Well that wasn’t the plan. But sometimes you’ve got to make decisions that put your family first and your mental health first," he said.

"Living here now, I can actually lift my head and I feel different. My shoulders have dropped, so has hers, and you can walk around feeling a little bit more free. I get to take Archie on the back of my bicycle."

Harry also addressed the nude photos taken of him in Las Vegas, which were published without his permission by TMZ in 2012.

"You're the only one I ever knew [from the Royal Family] and simply because you were in those awesome nude photos in Vegas," Shepard said early on in the candid conversation. "And I literally said to myself, 'This guy's a party!'"

Prince Harry replied: "I'm sure, you're constantly looking for other people to go, sort of balance out your own behavior, right? It's relatable!"

Later, the royal revealed that the photos were taken shortly before he left for active duty in Afghanistan. "At least I wasn't running down the strip, stripping naked," Harry joked.

The royal family didn't comment on the photos at the time, but one can imagine they were less-than-pleased.
