Prince Harry Might Be Inviting His Ex-Girlfriend to His Wedding

For royal wedding enthusiasts, one question that's been on everyone's minds is the following: Who will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle invite? (Obama! The Queen's corgis! Elton John! Dame Helen Mirren!) We likely won't be privy to the guest list until the actual wedding occurs—on May 19 at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel, mark your calendars—but that still isn't stopping "royal sources" from spilling some intel on who to expect in attendance.

Specifically, if the latest speculation is to be believed, one of Prince Harry's high profile ex-girlfriends will be present at the wedding—while another ex will be left out. “Both will be going through the list carefully. Don’t expect to see Cressida [Bonas] invited—the two didn’t remain friends—but do not be surprised if Chelsy [Davy] shows up with a date. The two have remained friends long after ending their relationship and still keep in touch to this day,” a source told Us Weekly. “She congratulated him the minute the engagement news was announced. Meghan would have no problem with her being there and Chelsy was on the preliminary list of friends to invite.”

Prince Harry and Davy dated between 2004 and 2011 after meeting in college, while he and Bonas were together between 2012 and 2014. As Us notes, the prince and Bonas still frequently run in the same social circles and were seen together as recently as December for a holiday charity event.

“With the wedding, they both want to do things their way. While they will always be mindful of traditions and the views of their elders, the day is ultimately about them and what they want to do,” this source continued. “The day of the wedding itself will certainly hold a few unconventional surprises. Don’t expect a royal wedding by numbers. They want to involve their friends and family as much in as much as possible throughout the day.”
