Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Wedding Reception Sounds Like the Ideal Party
Details have begun to emerge about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exclusive wedding reception at Frogmore House.
After the pomp and circumstance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was over, the couple hopped in a 1968 Jaguar to get to their evening reception at Frogmore House. The event took place behind closed doors (and closed gates), but some details have begun to emerge—fun details at that.
Apparently, in addition to the Windsor clan, celebrity guests like Idris Elba, George and Amal Clooney, James Corden, and Serena Williams all partied late into the night. The Telegraph reports that Elba even did a DJ set.
Mr. Clooney, it seems, was quite the life of the party—taking a turn at bartending, and waltzing around the room with both Markle and Kate Middleton, according to the Daily Mail. Corden, they also report, acted as the night’s emcee of sorts.
Meanwhile, Williams did what she does best: held court, except at a beer pong table rather than on a tennis one.
Vanity Fair also reports that there were “posh burger stands and Soho House–inspired personalized cocktails,” one of which was a rum and ginger mixed drink called “When Harry Met Meghan.” Also adding to the carnival-like atmosphere was cotton candy and a fireworks display.
Although smartphones were not allowed inside the venue, plenty of guests took time to share their evening looks before partying the night away. Williams wore a Valentino gown (and sneakers!), and Priyanka Chopra posted about her Dior dress.
While, by all accounts, the festivities went into the early hours of the morning, it’ll be back to work for Harry and Meghan soon enough: They are expected to make an official appearance Tuesday morning.
