Almost exactly a year since the initial release of their memoir, Finding Freedom, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced that an update is coming.

According to ITV royal producer Lizzie Robinson, an updated version of the book will be released on August 31st. In a brand new epilogue, Harry and Meghan will delve into the rollercoaster that has been the previous year. They'll offer the behind-the-scenes story on their unforgettable March interview with Oprah Winfrey, delve into the process of their big move to California, and the challenges they still face with the British press.

The epilogue will also see Meghan reflecting on her "emotional healing journey" between losing a child last summer, and giving birth to baby Lilibet this spring. And finally, the couple will open up about their "heartbreak" over the death of Prince Philip, who passed away this April at the age of 99.

Meanwhile Prince Harry's much-anticipated literary memoir, which was announced last week, will be released in late 2022. The untitled “intimate and heartfelt” memoir will see Harry reflect on his childhood, the death of his mother Princess Diana, his time in the British military, and his decision to leave the royal family alongside Meghan. "I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become," Harry said in a statement. "I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think."

Shortly after that announcement, the Daily Mail published a report claiming that Prince Harry's publishing deal is actually for a total of four books, including one that will not be published until after Queen Elizabeth's death. That report has been denied by a spokesperson for the Sussexes, who stated that Harry has only one book in the works, not counting the expanded version of Finding Freedom.
