Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were among the famous faces at Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's surprise vow renewal at Portia's 50th birthday party in Montecito, California.

The Sussexes were joined by Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry, Carol Burnett, Kris Jenner, Courteney Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Orlando Bloom, and more celebrities. At the party, musician Brandi Carlile performed "The First Time I Saw Your Face," and met the royal couple.

"We talked to them for a long time," Carlile told ET Online on the Grammys red carpet last night. "They just really felt like normal, decent, good humor people. We just had a great chat. I'm not going to pretend that I haven’t seen the hub bub, but I haven’t paid very close attention to it."

This is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first appearance together since the release of their Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries at the end of 2022. Prince Harry, however, was in the spotlight earlier last month around the publication of his book, doing a series of interviews in the U.S. and the UK.

No word on whether or not Courtney Cox and Prince Harry chatted about his memoir at Portia and Ellen's impromptu vow renewal. In his book, Harry writes about crashing at Cox's Los Angeles home—and taking shrooms from a "huge box of black diamond mushroom chocolates" there. When Courtney shows up, Harry writes, "She was Monica. And I was a Chandler. I wondered if I’d ever work up the courage to tell her."
