Prince Harry Just Got a Royal Promotion & Cue Even More Responsibility

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a simultaneous baby announcement and promotion. At least that’s how Prince Harry is approaching things.

The Duke of Sussex, reportedly just received a promotion courtesy of his Gan-Gan Queen Elizabeth II that will add even more responsibility to his docket. (As if becoming a first-time dad isn’t enough.)

According to Royal Central, the Queen made Prince Harry her new personal aide-de-camp this past Saturday.

So what does this new role entail? Honestly, it’s primarily symbolic and requires few duties. Harry is one of nine royals (like Prince Philip and Prince Charles) who hold the title, which is bestowed on senior military officers who act as honorary military attendants to the queen.

Prince Harry’s promotion to the queen’s aide-de-camp signifies his increasing role in the royal family spotlight and we couldn’t be happier for him and wife Meghan Markle.

The more Harry and Meghan, the better.
