Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to Visit the United Kingdom Next Month

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are heading to the United Kingdom and Germany next month for a series of special engagements.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes tells BAZAAR.com that the two "are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September," with stops in Manchester, Düsseldorf, and London.

On Labor Day, September 5, the couple will spend time at the One Young World Summit in Manchester, England, where Meghan will deliver a keynote address during the opening ceremony for young leaders. A spokesperson for the global forum adds that the couple will also meet with a group of summit delegates "doing outstanding work on gender equality."

Meghan has been a One Young World counsellor since 2014, and this will be her fourth time at the summit, which brings together talent from dozens of countries and sectors to debate and devise solutions to pressing issues.

The following day, the duke and duchess will be flying over to Germany for a special One Year to Go event for the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, which begin on September 9 the following year.

In April, the Sussexes spent time in the Netherlands for the 2022 Invictus Games, a sporting tournament for wounded, injured, and sick Armed Forces personnel and veterans, which Harry founded in 2014.

Two days later, Harry and Meghan will return to the U.K. for the WellChild Awards, a ceremony celebrating the inspirational qualities of seriously ill children and young people in Britain, alongside those who care for them.

The Duke of Sussex has been patron of the charity since 2007 and considers its annual awards one of the most important dates on his calendar.

This will be Harry and Meghan's third visit to the U.K. in 2022. In April, the couple spent a night in Windsor to visit Queen Elizabeth II before traveling to The Hague for the Invictus Games. And in June, they traveled with their children, Archie and Lilibet, and attended two official events for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

This time around, it's unclear if they'll be reuniting with Harry's royal family.

Before stepping back from their royal roles in early 2020, both the duke and duchess assured charities and organizations close to them that their work would not come to an end.
