To celebrate the 125th birthday of the Rugby Football League, of which Prince Harry is a patron, the Duke of Sussex hosted a Zoom call with players, coaches, and volunteers to discuss all things athletics. He also gave a little soundbite about his one-year-old son, Archie, that I’m currently playing on repeat. Yes, it’s that adorable.
You can watch Prince Harry’s entire RFL chat here, but a fan account highlighted the cute Archie quote in question. When talking about how lucky he and wife Meghan Markle are to have space for Archie to play outside, Prince Harry said, “I’m just unbelievably fortunate and grateful to have outdoor space and see my son be able to be outside, because I know so many people just haven’t had that opportunity the last five months. Our little man is our number one priority, but then our work after that is the second priority. We’re doing everything we can to try and play our part in trying to make the world a better place.”
Our! Little! Man! Can you even stand it? Because I, reader, cannot. What an incredibly sweet nickname for the baby royal. Watch Prince Harry say it for yourself, below. (Again, click here to show the Rugby Football League’s site some love and watch Prince Harry’s interview in full, which features a fun rugby quiz that I, naturally, knew none of the answers to.)
Like most of us, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have kept a relatively low profile since quarantine started, but they are still doing engagements via Zoom and in person following social distancing guidelines. The Sussexes haven’t said much about Archie this year, so even this small bite will make royal aficionados happy. The little man himself celebrated his first birthday earlier this summer, on May 6.
