The Duke of Sussex's upcoming memoir has already become the most talked-about book release of the decade.
Prince Harry's biography Spare, which will come out on January 10, 2023 currently holds the number one slot in the top 10 Amazon best-selling books list, following the royal's interviews with ITV and CBS on Sunday night ahead of the official release.
Last year, Penguin Random House announced that the £28 tome (which is currently half price on Amazon) would be a “personal and emotional” read, featuring his memories growing up in the public eye, his marriage to Meghan Markle and his experiences of fatherhood.
A number of books written by members of the monarchy and their relatives have been published over the years, so the 38-year-old royal is not alone in putting pen to paper.

Books written by members of the Royal Family
Princess of Wales
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Princess of Wales famously launched a photography series, which was then turned into a National Portrait Gallery exhibition.
This subsequently lead to the creation of the book Hold Still, for which she penned a foreword.
King Charles
King Charles wrote a number of books as the Prince of Wales, focusing on topics such as the environment.
His Majesty's most prominent literary release was Harmony in 2010, which focused on climate change and agriculture.
He also previously penned Highgrove: An English Country Garden and Climate Change (The Ladybird Expert Series).
Duchess of Sussex
Last year, Meghan Markle released her children's book The Bench, which was inspired by a poem she wrote to her royal husband for Father's Day.
As a working royal, she also wrote the foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook, which was put together by the charitable organisation Hubb Community Kitchen.
Sarah, Duchess of York
Sarah Ferguson has been behind the most books from among the wider Royal Family, including a memoir called Finding Sarah.
The Duchess of York also penned a romance novel Her Heart for a Compass, and the children's book series Little Red.
The Duke of Kent
Often a quieter member of the Royal Family, the late Queen's cousin had been by her side throughout many significant public events, including when blanks were fired at Trooping the Colour in 1981.
The Duke of Kent's memoirs, A Royal Life, documents his time as a working royal, from a 21-year military career, to public events and service, all told through intimate conversations between the Duke and acclaimed Royal historian Hugo Vickers, with input from his mother, Princess Marina, his grandmother, Queen Mary, his cousin, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, and his uncle, King George VI.
Princess Michael of Kent
Prince Michael of Kent's wife, full name Marie Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida von Reibnitz, is an established author in her own right.
The cousin of Queen Elizabeth II has written several novels over her career, including The Cheetah’s Tale, The Serpent and the Moon: Two Rivals for the Love of a Renaissance King, Crowned in a Far Country: Portraits of Eight Royal Brides, Cupid and the King: Five Royal Paramours, The Queen of Four Kingdoms and Agnes Sorel: Mistress of Beauty and Quicksilver.
