Prince George Gets Jealous of Princess Charlotte for the Cutest Reason

Yes, even Prince George, the future King of England, has to do his homework—and he's not always happy about it.

In a new interview with ITV's This Morning, Kate Middleton talked about how life at home is going for the Cambridges, including home schooling for Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Both kids typically attend St. Thomas's Battersea in London, but like most other children across the U.K. and the U.S., they're currently completing their studies from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Middleton said the family is doing "fine" while hunkered down at their home, though George has taken issue with some of his little sister's schoolwork. “George gets very upset because he just wants to do all of Charlotte’s projects," she said. "Making spider sandwiches is far cooler than doing literacy work.”

Poor George! But we're sure the duchess has lots of fun projects for all three kids to work on—especially if Prince Louis's second-birthday photos are any indication.

Middleton said the family is also adjusting to communicating with family and friends remotely. “It’s really hard. We hadn’t done a huge amount of FaceTime and face calls and things like that, but obviously we’re doing that a lot more now, and actually it’s been really great," she said. "We try and check in daily with family members and speak to them about news and things like that, and in some ways I suppose we’ve got a lot more face time than perhaps we would have done before. But it is difficult. It’s hard to explain to a five- and a six-, nearly seven-year-old what’s going on.”

The Duchess of Cambridge's latest interview coincides with a new photography project she's launching alongside the National Portrait Gallery called #HoldStill, which will capture some of the unique moments across the U.K. as the country deals with the health crisis in three main categories: Helpers and Heroes, Your New Normal, and Acts of Kindness. One hundred of the images will be featured in a digital exhibit in August.

Perhaps George and Charlotte can work on a submission together, with the help of their photography-loving mom.
