Prince Christian of Hanover Marries Alessandra de Osma in Peruvian Royal Wedding
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is scheduled to take place in exactly two months’ time, another royal wedding, this one in Peru, generated buzz over the weekend. Prince Christian of Hanover and his betrothed, Alessandra de Osma, married in a baroque-style church in the Peruvian capital of Lima on Friday, March 16.
The wedding festivities spanned three days, beginning with a welcome cocktail party on Thursday, according to the Peruvian Times. The following day, a formal religious ceremony held at the splendid Basilica San Pedro church in Lima was scheduled at noon (much like Harry and Meghan, who will exchange vows at noon local time on May 19).
The bride hails from one of the oldest, most established families in Lima, so the evening reception naturally took place at the Berckemeyer house, which was built by her great-grandparents in the early 20th century.

After the religious ceremony, the couple then hosted a lunch at the Club Nacional, followed by cocktails in the Mirafores section of the city at the Berckemeyer. The three-day weekend started Thursday with a welcome cocktail party at a local restaurant. The party continued Saturday at the Museo de Osma in the Barranco neighborhood of Lima.

Guests included Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, as well as supermodel Kate Moss. The ‘90s fashion icon herself is currently dating a Count—Nikolai Von Bismarck, who joined her for the wedding weekend in South America.
