  • Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson allegedly owe $8 million on a Swedish property they own a share in.

  • Andrew and Sarah were supposed to pay their remaining balance in December last year but apparently failed to do so.

Thought Prince Andrew already had his fair share of drama? Welp, think again. On top of those pretty damning sexual misconduct allegations, Andrew is also having legal troubles now, and the bad part about this particular case is that it comes with a hefty price tag.

Andrew is now being sued because he and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, have allegedly failed to pay off a ski house in Sweden. Andrew and Sarah purchased the seven-bedroom home back in 2014 for $23 million. Reports claim the pair had until December 2019 to pay a remaining balance of $6.2 million, but that total has now risen to $8.4 million because of interest.

If you’re wondering why there’s so much drama with this one property, it’s because Andrew and Sarah don’t actually fully own it—they purchased a share of it. The original owner of the home has maintained a share in the property too and is reportedly pissed Andrew and Sarah failed to pay their portion. “They (the original owners) have really gone for the jugular and want their money,” a source told the Daily Mail.

Andrew and Sarah’s camp doesn’t really seem to be on the same page though, because a friend of Andrew is claiming that (1) Sarah and Andrew are looking to sell the property so the debts can be repaid and (2) that the previous owner had full knowledge of this info.

“We can confirm there is a dispute between the two parties in this matter,” a spokesperson for Prince Andrew told the Daily Mail. “The contractual details remain the subject of a confidentiality agreement and prevent further discussion.”
