It’s finally official—the date of Amazon’s annual shopping extravaganza has been announced! Amazon Prime Day 2020 begins October 13—and runs for a full two days. And this year, some incredible deals with Prime Day pricing are popping up weeks before the big sale begins.

The Toshiba 43-inch Smart 4K Ultra HD—Fire TV Edition, normally $330, is on sale right now for $230. With $100 in savings happening on top-rated brands like this, this Prime Day is sure to be one for the books. The epic event usually takes place in July, but was delayed this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To us, fall is as good a time as ever to snag great stuff for less—the holiday are right around the corner!

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day, which launched five years ago, is Amazon’s biggest shopping event for Prime members. The stellar sale includes markdowns on thousands upon thousands of products—electronics, kitchen essentials, apparel, beauty must-haves and much more.

Last year, the top-sellers during Prime Day included Apple AirPods, Instant Pot Duo and Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones—so we expect to see more best-sellers and top-rated favorites on sale this year as well.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2020?

The 48-hour shopping event begins on Tuesday, October 13 at 3 a.m. ET and ends Thursday, October 15 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

Do I need to be a Prime member?

Yes, you do. But if you’re not a Prime member, there’s still time to sign up and take advantage of the savings. Prime plans are $12.99 per month (or $119 per year), and you get a free 30-day trial at signup.

Prime member benefits include free two-day shipping and delivery, and same-day or even two-hour shipping for eligible items and locations. It also comes with access to Prime Video, Amazon Music, a selection of free Kindle e-books, free video games via Twitch Prime, unlimited storage with Amazon Photo and so much more.

In addition, you’ll get exclusive access to deals from Whole Foods Market and Prime Now in select cities. Check out all the Amazon Prime 2020 perks, here.

How do I find the best deals?

There are a few things you can do to score sales on your favorite items. The first is to get familiar with the popular pages across the site because they’ll likely house the best deals:

We also recommend setting up a ‘Wish List’ at Amazon. That way, you’ve identified your must-have items before Prime Day, and once the sales go live, you can add them to your cart stress-free.

If you haven’t already done so, downloading the app is a must, as it allows you to watch the deals you’re interested in and get notified when they start. You can also ask Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa to search for early access deals on Amazon devices 48 hours in advance of Prime Day.

In addition, bookmark Yahoo! Life Shopping throughout Prime Day and keep coming back for the absolute best of the best sales, all right in one place (or shall we say Prime Days?). Happy shopping!
