Preparations underway for 16th annual Columbia Heights day

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Get ready to kick off summer in the DMV at the 16th annual Columbia Heights Day.

The free family-friendly festival is a celebration of diversity and culture of neighborhood. It features local food vendors and artist as well as live music.

More than 10,000 people are expected to attend. The event is hosted by District Bridges and Columbia Heights Main Street.

Renters push for changes to proposed rent stabilization bill in Prince George’s County

It is happening Saturday, June 15th from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Harriet Tubman Elementary.

Brianne Dornbush, the Executive Director of District Bridges and Paco Ramos-Meyer, the Columbia Heights & Mount Pleasant Main Street Manager stopped by the DC News Now studio to talk to Taniya Wright about the annual event.
