I've probably said it before, and I'll probably say it again: Mary Poppins Returns is gearing up to be practically perfect in every way!
Just a look at the cast alone pretty much confirms that, but now that we've received a brand new image from the upcoming Disney sequel, it's official.
In our latest look at the updated classic, we see Lin-Manuel Miranda's Jack the Lamplighter and Emily Blunt's Mary Poppins take the Banks children – this time the grown-up Michael Banks' (Ben Whishaw) children – on a joyride.

While our favorite nanny might look like she's having fun, Emily Blunt has assured fans that her take on the character will be more like she is in the books, rather than trying to take on Julie Andrews' incarnation.
Speaking to USA Today, Emily said she had channelled the "eccentric and wacky" side of Mary Poppins, as well as her surprising ~sassiness~.
"[She's] incredibly vain and rude to the children," she explained. "As a British person, I really responded to that lack of saccharine relationships."
She continued: "I find it comforting, the idea of someone just sweeping in who's no-nonsense and cleaning everything up and making everything right again in a magical way that's not sentimental."
Looks like we can forget that spoonful of sugar, then!
Hamilton creator and Disney alum Lin-Manuel Miranda has also been sharing his experiences of taking part in Mary Poppins Returns – and they sound pretty intense.
Not that we think he minds, though; after all, the actor admitted that receiving the job role was "so bonkers," he had no choice but to take it on.
Mary Poppins Returns, also starring Julie Walters, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, and Angela Lansbury, opens nationwide on December 25, 2018.
