Portia de Rossi Appeared to Address Allegations Against Ellen DeGeneres and Her Talk Show
DeGeneres's wife of nearly 12 years is standing by her side.
Ellen DeGeneres is having a tumultuous couple of months. The talk show host and her namesake show are now facing allegations of misconduct from former employees citing instances of racism, intimidation, and unfair termination.
While the news has riled up a new wave of antagonism toward the now-infamous DeGeneres (Brad Garrett is spilling all kinds of tea), the comedian has at least one famous face in her corner: her wife, Portia de Rossi.

On Monday afternoon, de Rossi shared a graphic on Instagram reading “I Stand By Ellen,” writing “To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support.” She included several hashtags as well: #stopbotattacks, #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres, #IStandByEllen, and #IstandByEllenDeGeneres. No ambiguity here — sounds like DeGeneres’s wife of nearly 12 years stands with and/or by her.

DeGeneres, for her part, recently responded to the allegations in a letter to her employees, writing, “As we've grown exponentially, I've not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I'd want them done. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I'm committed to ensuring this does not happen again."
