Jimmy Butler put together a playoff performance for the ages on Monday night.

All he did was score 56 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 119-114, come-from-behind victory over the Milwaukee Bucks to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 first-round playoff series.

The 56 points are the most ever in a Heat playoff game. Butler scored 22 points in the first quarter, tying Dwyane Wade for the highest-scoring quarter in Heat playoff history, and then scored another 21 in the fourth quarter.

Butler was 19 for 28 from field and 15 for 18 from the free-throw line. He also grabbed nine rebounds.

The effort was Herculean, and it has the Heat one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
