Plus-size model Tess Holliday balances motherhood and modeling like a pro

It’s been a busy time for Tess Holliday. The 32-year-old plus-size model was in New York City this week promoting her new book The Not So Subtle Art of Being a Fat Girl and doing the all the things in NYC that models typically do, all while still showing off how she’s a busy mom, and impactful social media influencer.

The size-22 model proudly lists her credits on social media, including “Plus Model,” “Wife,” “Mom,” and “Feminist,” and continued to prove her point, all while staying on top of her promotion duties.

While showing off her oldest son, 11-year-old Rylee, who fell asleep in arms, she also took the opportunity to promote a fundraiser for homeless youth in Los Angeles. “I feel grateful that he has a warm bed in a loving, safe home – but for so many youth in LA, that’s not a reality,” she wrote.

Holliday’s also a new mom to a baby boy Bowie, who she gave birth to last June.

While in New York, Holliday was also spotted at the Vogue offices — a magazine Holliday has boldy predicted she’ll grace the covers of someday soon.

Today was a bucket list kinda day ✨

Promoting a book, celebrating motherhood, stopping by the Vogue offices — all pretty astounding things to be taking part in, particularly considering Holliday’s upbringing in the rural south. She has told her story before of being bullied because of her body and because she dared to dream of a future in modeling. And even while she continues to wage the battle of the body image daily, it appears the model-mother-feminist-fighter is making waves and not looking back.
