Nevada's casinos reopened June 4 under new restrictions, including reduced occupancy, more space between gamblers and severely curtailed limits for meeting and convention spaces.

The return of Planet Hollywood to The Strip follows the reopening of Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Paris, Bally’s, The LINQ Hotel + Experience, The LINQ Promenade, High Roller Observation Wheel and Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases continues to climb in Nevada.

On Friday, cases spiked to their greatest one day increase since Aug. 28. The state reported 556 new cases and nine deaths. Nevada has reported 77,753 cases since tracking began.

Nevada is reporting a 9.4% daily positivity rate and a 9.9% cumulative positivity rate, both higher than the World Health Organization goal of 5%.
