Kate Middleton’s little sister, Pippa Middleton, is officially a mother of three.

On July 11, People confirmed that Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews, welcomed a baby girl “a couple of weeks ago.” Pippa and James, who celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in May, also have a three-year-old son, Arthur, who was born in October 2018, as well as a one-year-old daughter, Grace, whom they welcomed in March 2021.

This baby girl is officially the fifth cousin of eight-year-old Prince George, seven-year-old Princess Charlotte, and four-year-old Prince Louis. The Cambridge kids also have two cousins from their uncle Prince Harry and aunt Meghan Markle: three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet Diana.

News of Pippa’s third pregnancy was first reported just last month after Pippa was photographed with a noticeable baby bump at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee on June 4.

The fact that Pippa Middleton has not spoken publicly about her latest pregnancy is not a surprise. The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister did not respond to rumors about her first pregnancy until months after reports began to surface and ended up revealing the news in her fitness column for Waitrose Weekend in June 2018. “When I learned the happy news that I was pregnant, I realized I needed to adjust my normal 4 to 5 day a week routine and find a way of continuing my exercise safely throughout the three trimesters,” she wrote at the time. “I’ve noticed my body change and weight increase, but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it’s being strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery.”

In 2021 she opened up about motherhood in yet another interview about fitness for the sportswear label Hoka One. "More recently, over the past two years, family life and motherhood has consumed much of my spare time and unsurprisingly the challenges I thrived on have taken a back seat," Pippa said, per Hello!. “Running and fitness still form part of my weekly routine but not to the level it was before. I suppose, my running has been more after babies and toddlers than crossing finish lines, which I’m fine with—for now!”

She added, “Through both pregnancies, I have tried to keep fit and strong, for the physical benefits but also for the mental and emotional reboot it gives me.”
