Pippa Middleton Has Confirmed Her Wedding Date

Although Kate Middleton won’t be in the wedding, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been assigned official (and likely adorable) roles.

Pippa Middleton will marry James Matthews on May 20, it has now been confirmed. Middleton and Matthews, a hedge fund manager, became engaged last summer, but now new details have emerged. The wedding will apparently take place in Berkshire, at St. Mark’s Church, Englefield. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests will head to Middleton’s parents’ home, where a reception will be held throughout the grounds. Save-the-dates have long since been sent out, but the most exciting news may be the roles of the youngest participants.

Princess Charlotte will likely be a bridesmaid and Prince George a page boy. And although Pippa memorably served as maid of honor in her older sister’s wedding, Kate Middleton will not be a member of the bridal party. But perhaps it’s for the best—especially if the Duchess of Cambridge is needed to help corral the young prince and princess.

Prince Harry, sources report, is also confirmed to attend. No word yet, however, on whether Meghan Markle will be able to accompany him.
