Pink nails the national anthem with the flu, but that's not even the best part

Three-time grammy winner Pink absolutely slayed her performance of the Super Bowl national anthem Sunday, and she did it with the flu. The singer revealed that she was sick on her Instagram Saturday, when she posted, "Trying to practice the flu away. I’ve been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song. And now, my chance has finally come." Although she seemed to slightly struggle while hitting the highest note in the song's finale, she still sounded significantly better than the average human and everyone was completely impressed. Sheryl Crow tweeted, "Pink just killed it!! Best I've ever heard!", and Ellen Degeneres, who tweeted prior to the performance that Pink was probably going to win the Super Bowl, followed up by tweeting, "Pink, you are amazing. Always." However, her killer vocals, despite the flu, wasn't even the best part. People were also talking about the awesome moment that the cameras caught of Pink taking something out of her mouth prior to her performance, and throwing it on the ground. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/960299182627196928 The moment started a debate on social media- chewing gum or cough drop? Thankfully, Pink eventually put the argument to rest when she tweeted: "It was a throat lozenge." Cough drop aside, one thing is for sure. Pink with the flu is definitely goals.
