A Pimple-Popper Toy Now Exists, and I'm So Tired

Prepare to be either very disgusted or very intrigued: There's a new toy on the market that lets you finally satisfy the urge to popall the pimples — without scarring your skin. Yep, the Pop it Pal is a slab of rubbery "flesh" that you can pop pop pop all day long. Are you grossed out or are you already wondering how you can get your hands on one? If it's the latter, read on, intrepid pimple poppers.

The toy comes in two colors (light and dark), and spews "pus" when you successfully pop one of the "pimples." You can also buy refill bottles of the fake pus on the website, which means there's literally no end to how long you can spend squeezing and extracting without once risking skin damage. And, better yet, a portion of the proceeds from the Pop it Pal goes to anti-bullying charities, so you can fight bullying while you fight (fake) acne.

Who exactly are the geniuses who came up with the idea to make a toy out of pimple-popping? According to the Pop it Pal website, the designers are husband and wife Billy and Summer Pierce.

"We love that disgusting little habit nobody likes to talk about. Yup, it is our unique obsession," Billy, an outspoken "picker," wrote. "You see, one day, my wife and I were driving down the road. She said: 'How awesome would it be if we could make a pimple that felt real and the pop was huge, just like those videos we watch?' I thought: 'You might be on to something, Dear.' . . . So, I spent the next year figuring out how to make it happen." And thus, the 2018 version of the fidget spinner was born. Sigh.

In addition to being a gross-slash-hilarious gag gift, the Pop it Pal might be of real use to people who just can't stop picking. Multiple commenters on a BuzzFeed post about the product noted that it could be helpful to people who, for any reason — be it ADHD or a form of autism or anxiety — constantly squeeze their own pores.
