Pillsbury Just Launched Its First New Funfetti Cake Mixes In 30 Years

Funfetti is without a doubt the most whimsical, adorable, and, well, fun type of cake there is.

Sure, you can make it from scratch—but the store-bought mixes do the trick when you need a little funfetti in your life ASAP.

Pillsbury created the flavor back in 1989 and, for the first time in 30 years, the company is releasing two new funfetti cake mixes. But that’s not even the best part: These new mixes are also unicorn- and space-themed.

Funfetti Unicorn is strawberry cake mix with yellow and purple candy bits, vanilla frosting with purple and pink unicorns, yellow stars, and pink and blue sprinkles.

Funfetti Galaxy, meanwhile, is yellow cake mix with blue and purple candy bits, yellow stars, orange moons, silver rocket ships, and white sprinkles.

The two new varieties are on shelves now.

The company also hinted in a press release that these aren’t the only new additions to Pillsbury’s dessert mix lineup. Apparently, a product called Pillsbury Brownie Bark Mixes will be available in September—we’ll share the details on those once we get more info.
