The big day is finally here.

For the first British coronation to take place in 70 years, the royal family, politicians, global luminaries, and members of the public will gather at Westminster Abbey to witness the crowning of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, the queen consort.

Expected to be amongst the congregation are Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry. The Waleses's children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—will also be at the abbey, as well as some members of Queen Camilla's family.

Buckingham Palace previously announced that the coronation service would "reflect the Monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry."

Coronation regalia plays a big part in those "traditions." Expect to see the king and queen donning some of the most sacred items in the Crown Jewels collection, from the famous sceptres and orb to their priceless royal crowns.
