Jessica Simpson's Photo of Her Swollen Foot Just Won the 10-Year Challenge
Heard of the 10-year challenge? It's the reason your Facebook and Instagram friends (plus a ton of celebrities) are posting decade-old photos of themselves right next to current-day snaps that are much more flattering.
Though the photos keep coming, we hate to break it to everyone: Jessica Simpson just became the queen of all things #10YearChallenge with this hard-to-miss Instagram shot that compares her previously toned legs with her swollen foot.

With a simple caption (#tenyearchallenge), Simpson managed to get over 370,000 likes, making people like us laugh at the shot. Earlier this month, the fashion mogul-who is currently expecting her third child (a baby girl!) with husband Eric Johnson-shared a solo photo of her feet. "Any remedies?! Help!!!!" she wrote as the caption, reaching out to fans for advice.
Hundreds of commenters chimed in, especially moms who've experienced feet swelling while pregnant. They suggested she try lemon water, compression socks, or simply rest up. One wisely encouraged her to see a physician. "Go see that Dr. that you're paying honey he/she is the only one [sic] can properly diagnose you," they wrote.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, edema, the term used to describe what happens when your feet swell while pregnant, is normal since the body produces 50 percent more blood and fluid to help the baby grow.

So why did her photo take the 10-year challenge crown? For reference, other stars like Jessica Biel have participated in the online fad, sharing their side-by-side images-even when not much has changed. But honestly, Simpson's is the one that made us smile the most.

While these were all entertaining, Simpson's was down-right humbling. Yes, we love a good glow-up, but we so appreciate when celebs aren't afraid to get a little real. Here's hoping the expectant momma feels better soon.
