This Photo of a Grandpa Doing His Wife's Hair Went VIRAL for the Best Reason

An adorable photo of an elderly couple has taken Twitter by storm. However, this isn't just any normal couple. In the photo posted by Amy Pennington, her grandfather is shown styling his wife's hair as she holds an iPhone up to take a mirror selfie.
According to Pennington, her grandmother was recovering from wrist surgery and wasn't able to do her hair herself, and that's when her grandfather stepped in to help. "My grandma had surgery on her wrist and couldn't do her own hair so my grandpa did it for her," Amy explained. "Cuteness overload." Clearly, Twitter was also overwhelmed by the cuteness of the photo. It now has over 100k retweets and over 220k favorites.
With all the recent celebrity break-ups, especially during 2016 (Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, to name a few), it's refreshing and sweet to see a couple like Pennington's grandparents. The photo of the two is undeniably cute and it reminds us that there really is love out there.
After the positive reaction to her photo, Pennington had only one thing to say about her grandma: "My grandma would be so upset that she's Twitter famous off a picture of herself in her robe with no makeup." Maybe grandpa can help out with that too.
