The beginning of a new year seems to be the time that many people enjoy doing cleanses. OK, “enjoy” might be a strong word. It’s the time most people…do cleanses. Example: Gina Rodriguez is in the middle of a liver detox cleanse, and we feel her pain. Rodriguez has Hashimoto’s Disease, an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland, and subsequently, the liver.

So even though the liver cleanse is probably super beneficial for Rodriguez, it’s also clearly the absolute worst.

The Jane the Virgin star posted a photo to Instagram that has us LOL-ing, because it’s completely relatable for those of us who have ever done a cleanse. She looks adorable, as always, but it’s obvious that she’s 100% ready to eat like a normal human being again.

“Day three of my Liver detox cleanse and I haven’t cut anyone, taken out cars because of road rage or messed up my cleanse,” she captioned the photo. “

But this is definitely the look I give when someone asks me if I want a slice of pizza. 5 more days people, 5 mo days for a healthier liver and a slice of pizza. #Detoxface”

In an interview with Health back in August, the actress explained what it’s like to live with Hashimoto’s Disease, and how it became a blessing rather than a curse.

“If I can at least walk for 20 minutes a day, it’s extremely helpful for my thyroid gland. Running, boxing, jump rope and hitting the heavy bag are my workout constants,” Rodriguez told Health. “It’s always been a battle for me with weight. Keeping weight off is very difficult because my metabolism is pretty much shot, which to me felt like a curse when I was 19. As an actress, I would say, ‘Seriously? In a world that’s so vain, I have to deal with the disease that makes you not keep weight off?’ But it actually became a blessing because then I got to represent not only women and Latinas but also women who are dealing with this disease. I’m gluten-free, which is the most difficult thing in the world because, like Oprah, I love bread!”

She only has five more days to go of the liver cleanse! Which, TBH, is so many days. But she’s a warrior and can pretty much conquer anything.
