A photo of an 85-year-old Brazilian woman getting her first hug in the COVID-19 pandemic has won World Press Photo of the Year
This August 5, 2020, photo shows the moment Rosa Luzia Lunardi got her first hug in five months during the pandemic.
The 85-year-old was being embraced by Adriana Silva da Costa Souza, a nurse at the Viva Bem care home in São Paulo, Brazil.
The nurse is seen wearing a face mask, and there is a clear plastic sheet separating the two.
The photo has won World Press Photo of the Year.
