Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders appear to confirm romance in new pics
Pete Davidson has had some pretty high-profile girlfriends, exes and relationships - from his engagement to Ariana Grande, to his 2021 romance with Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and of course, Kim Kardashian.
So, understandably, there's plenty of interest in the comedian's dating history, including which star he's potentially dating right now. Here are all the names Pete has been linked to over the years, from his 20-year age gap with Kate Beckinsale, to his most recent romance.
Chase Sui Wonders, January 2023
In December 2022, Pete was first rumoured to be dating his Bodies Bodies Bodies co-star 26-year-old actor Chase Sui Wonders.
The pair were spotted together at a New York Rangers game with their co-star Rachel Sennott. Then, in January this year Pete and Chase were seen cuddling in a restaurant in Brooklyn.
And yesterday (19th January) it appears the two seemed to confirm their relationship after they were seen holding hands and kissing at Universal Studios Hollywood, in a video obtained by TMZ. Cosmopolitan has reached out to their reps for comment.
Pete Davidson's Dating History
Carly Aquilino, 2015
Pete briefly dated US actress and stand-up comedian Carly Aquilino back in 2015. The pair seemed to part on good terms, and they later starred in 2020 film The King of Staten Island together, with Carly taking to Instagram to publicly thank Pete for the role.
However, Carly did appear to shade Pete's engagement to Ariana Grande in 2018, reportedly posting a screenshot of a text message she received on the day of the announcement saying, "I know I’m the 9 billionth person to text you today about this, but… I can’t," and adding the caption, "My day in a text message," according to Us Weekly.
Cazzie David, May 2016 - May 2018
The year after his split from Carly, Pete dated writer and actress Cazzie David for two years, with the pair making a number of public appearances together.
Breaking up in May 2018, Pete confirmed the relationship had come to an end during a candid interview on Complex’s Open Late with Peter Rosenberg. "We’re not together anymore," he said, adding, "Very talented girl, she’ll be great and she’ll be fine. Yeah, I think she’ll be okay."
Two years later, in 2020, Cazzie opened up about her split from Pete in her book of essays titled No One Asked For This. In one part of the book, Cazzie recalls finding out about Pete's relationship with Ariana a day after Pete sent a text ending their relationship for good, and says she "shook uncontrollably" in her dad Larry David's arms.
However, the pair seemed to get back on good terms, with Cazzie giving Pete a shout out in her book acknowledgements, writing, "Pete. I love you ... Your bravery inspires me and your friendship means the world to me."
Ariana Grande, May - October 2018
Probably one of the comedian's most high-profile relationships, Pete and Ariana Grande confirmed their relationship in May 2018, soon after his breakup with Cazzie.
The pair's relationship escalated pretty quickly, with Pete debuting two Ariana-inspired tattoos weeks later on 2 June - including the initials 'AG' on his hand and Ariana's famous 'Dangerous Woman' bunny ears behind his ear.
The couple then took things to the next level by getting engaged, with Pete confirming the news on 15 June, almost exactly a month after they were first spotted hanging out.
However, the pair split soon after in October 2018, calling off their engagement. Ariana later famously referenced Pete in her single 'thank u, next', singing, "Even almost got married. And for Pete, I'm so thankful," before apologising to Pete for "dipping" in the accompanying music video.
Kate Beckinsale, March - April 2019
Pete was first linked to actress Kate Beckinsale in January 2019, after the pair were spotted flirting at a Golden Globes afterparty. At the time, Pete was 25 while Kate was 45, giving the duo a 20-year age gap.
The couple later publicly confirmed their relationship on 4 March by kissing at a New York Rangers game, and Pete reportedly met Kate's parents soon after.
Kate opened up about dating Pete later that month, telling LA Times: "I’ve never been in this position before — never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief. It’s all quite shocking, and something to get used to. I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it. If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it’s not."
However, sadly, the pair called it quits in April 2019, according to reports, making their relationship pretty short-lived.
Margaret Qualley, August - October 2019
Pete is thought to have started dating Maid actress Margaret Qualley around August 2019.
The pair were pictured holding hands, with Margaret's mother Andie MacDowell discussing the relationship PEOPLE in September.
"I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or so, she took a video of me to send to Pete that’s what it was. She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don’t want to step on her relationship too much. They have a nice relationship," she revealed.
However, it was then reported in October that the couple had split.
Kaia Gerber, November 2019 - January 2020
Model Kaia Gerber and Pete were spotted holding hands in upstate New York in November 2019, following dating speculation, seemingly confirming their relationship.
The pair dated for a couple of months, before splitting in January 2020. Pete opened up about the breakup the following month in a sit-down interview with Charlamagne Tha God posted on YouTube.
"We were dating for a few months," he explained. "She’s very young, and I’m f***ing going through a lot and it was before I went to rehab.
"It’s just like, she should be having fun. She shouldn’t have to worry about some dude that just has issues and s**t. She should be enjoying her work. It just wasn’t the right place or the right time at all."
Phoebe Dynevor, March - August 2021
Rumours of a relationship between Pete and Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor first arose in March 2021, when the pair were spotted holding hands in Staffordshire.
However, the pair didn't make their first public outing until July, when they were pictured kissing, cuddling and generally looking super cute in the stands at a Wimbledon match.
Sadly, the couple split soon after in August 2021, with an insider telling The Sun, "Pete and Phoebe’s romance was a real whirlwind and from the start they were both totally committed. But as time has passed, it’s become increasingly obvious it is going to be difficult to make this work.
"It was wild while it lasted and they both really care for each other. But the distance has put a strain on them. Their mates think they make a great couple but the distance has made it completely unworkable. They had fun and will remain close but unless something drastic changes their relationship won’t recover."
Kim Kardashian, October 2021 - May 2022
Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were first linked in October 2021 after she hosted Saturday Night Live. They were then pictured holding hands on a rollercoaster during a trip to Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California, and enjoying what looked like a double date with Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker.
Kim and her new beau were seen boarding a boat in The Bahamas to kick off 2022, while they were papped (via Page Six) holding hands on a date for Valentine's Day in February. By March, Kim revealed Pete had tattoos dedicated to her, while the pair shared multiple Instagram PDAs.
In April, Kim revealed she was thinking long-term about their relationship, explaining she wouldn't be with Pete if it wasn't something she was thinking of as long-term. "Obviously, I want to take my time, but I'm very happy and very content. And, it's such a good feeling just to be at peace," she told Good Morning America.
When asked "How serious is it?", Kim replied, "I am a relationship kind of girl, for sure, and I wouldn't be with someone if I didn't plan on spending a lot of my time with them."
But sadly, it wasn't to be - the pair broke things off in August 2022, with a source telling E! News that the pair's busy lives and differing timezones "made it really difficult to maintain a relationship." However, they added that the duo do still have "a lot of love and respect for each other".
Emily Ratajkowski - November 2022
Fast forward three months, and there could be a new celebrity couple in town, with a source telling E! News Emily and Pete had "gone on a few dates" in early November 2022. The insider added that "Pete texted Emily wanting to get together to catch up", with Instagram gossip account Deux Moi saying they were spotted "holding hands" and "clearly hooking up."
The pair were later spotted in an embrace, while fans think Emily subtly responded to rumours with her social media activity. Eagle-eyed Twitter followers noticed the model liked a tweet from 81-year-old singer Dionne Warwick, which read, "I will be dating Pete Davidson next." Iconic.
I will be dating Pete Davidson next.

However, sadly it wasn't meant to be for the couple as by December it appeared things were over between Pete and Emily.
