PETA goes after Donald Trump Jr. with mock Halloween trophy hunting costume: Here's his response

Donald Trump Jr. was in no mood to be roasted by PETA this week.

The animal rights organization released a mock Halloween costume of the president’s eldest son, a twist on the photo of the Trump brothers smiling with the body of a dead leopard. Except in PETA’s version, it’s the animal who has the last laugh for their costume that “lets the leopard win.” The limited edition includes “a ‘bloody’ camouflage jacket (with a name tag reading, ‘half-cocked’) and a red cap bearing Don Jr.’s name, and it comes with a huge, plush leopard in a pouncing position.”

According to PETA’s website, profits from the costume will go directly to support the organization’s “lifesaving work for wild animals.”

Trump Jr. caught wind of the gimmick and fired back on Twitter — like father, like son — calling PETA hypocritical and alleging that it’s an “animal slaughter factory.”

He linked to a 2013 article from HuffPost titled, “Shocking photos: PETA’s secret slaughter of kittens, puppies.” The story looks at the ramifications of the organization’s euthanizing policy.

In a separate tweet, Trump Jr. added, “The facts about how many animals PETA has slaughtered are stagering [sic]. People really need to know this.”

No word yet on what Trump Jr.’s real Halloween look will be. Perhaps he’ll go for a couples costume with his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle? They seem like that type of couple.
