Rumours are swirling that Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp are back t0gether after they were both recently spotted in New York just a few streets away from each other. The speculation comes exactly one year after they confirmed they had ended their relationship of 18 months.
The rumour, which is currently doing the rounds on social media, started after Timothée and Lily-Rose were both spotted by fans walking through downtown Manhattan on Monday 5th April. While they were spotted separately, fans are convinced that they were seen too close together for it to be a coincidence.
One fan tweeted, "just heard that timothee and lily rose depp are back together pls let it be true," while another said, "I just heard that Timothee Chalamet and Lily Rose Depp are back together!!!! Yesssss they were so cute together."
Timothée and Lily-Rose, who have yet to comment on the rumours, were first linked in October 2018, when they were spotted kissing in New York. "They were pretty playful and flirty with each other," an eyewitness told Us Weekly at the time.
However by April 2020, Timothée was referred to as "single" in an interview for the May 2020 issue of British Vogue.
The couple made headlines in September 2019, when they were photographed on a boat in Capri enjoying a steamy kiss. The internet was fairly critical of the kiss, with some fans calling it 'awkward' and others questioning whether it was staged. Chalamet eventually spoke out about the pictures saying , "I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life," he told GQ.
"I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, 'That was great.' And then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real knob? All pale?"
