People Stranded on Rooftops as Philippine Province Remains Flooded Days After Typhoon Vamco

People remained stranded on rooftops as flooding persisted in the Philippines’ Cagayan province on November 14, days after Typhoon Vamco.

This aerial footage was livestreamed on Saturday by the mayor of Allacapan, Harry Florida, and shows the severe flooding in Cagayan. People can be seen waving at the helicopter from rooftops, and a parcel is dropped from the aircraft to a person on a roof.

At least 42 people were killed due to the typhoon. The storm has since moved west into the South China Sea and was expected to hit Central Vietnam on November 15, according to local news reports. Credit: Mayor Harry Florida via Storyful
