19 Movie And TV Lines That People Still Think About Because Of How Much It Affected Them Emotionally

Recently, after sharing how much that "grief" line from WandaVision affected me, I asked the BuzzFeed Community to name a line from a movie or TV show that they still think about because of how emotional it made them.

People shared some super emotional scenes, and I teared up at a lot of their answers. (And then again, when I actually watched the scenes).

Here are just some of their responses:

1.In Definitely, Maybe, after she realizes her parents aren't getting back together, Maya, who was hoping for a "happy ending," runs to her dad who comforts her by saying:

"You."

"I think because my parents had gone through a divorce less than a year before I watched it, it hit close to home. Every time he says the line, I make the same crying face that Maya does because it's something that my dad would have said to me. It gets me every time!"

2.In Doctor Who, after Amy finds out that Vincent van Gogh still took his life even after his encounter with her and the Doctor, the Doctor says:

"And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

"As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, this speaks to me. This episode is one I rewatch every time I need a good cry."

"They didn't get the outcome they hoped for, but they realized that ultimately, it was some progress.

"I work in government and care deeply about the people I serve, but I can't win every battle. This line reminds me to keep fighting for what's right, even if I don't always win."

"Like a lust in my body! And then deny me the talent?"

7.In Casper, after Casper becomes temporarily human, he slow dances with Kat and asks:

"Can I keep you?"

"I don’t know if I’ll ever truly be able to explain how this line makes me feel every time I hear it, but the idea of someone knowing all about you, good and bad, and wanting to keep you in their lives just pulls at my heart."

Universal Pictures

8.In Fleabag, after Fleabag feels her life spin out of control, she says:

"Or I'm completely f**king alone. Which isn't f**king funny."

"The way Fleabag deals with mental illness, trauma, and life struggles just so closely mirrors how I feel. I know a lot of people remember Fleabag for the humor and raunchy moments, but the serious moments are what make the show so personal and special to me."

9.In Perks of Being a Wallflower, as Charlie witnesses the unhealthy relationships around him and as he struggles with his depression, he asks his teacher, "Why do nice people choose the wrong people to date?" His teacher responds:
