TikTokers Said The "Dune" Soundtrack Sounded Like "Glee" Character Kurt Hummel, And It's The Most Cursed Video I've Seen All Week

Alright, so the other day, I finally got around to watching Dune, the 2.5-hour sand/space spectacle.

However, like the mature adult that I am, I couldn't stop giggling because people on TikTok have been comparing the voice on "Paul's Dream" — a motif that comes up repeatedly in the movie...

...to the voice of Kurt Hummel, a character on the hit Fox show Glee.

I MEAN...

IT'S UNCANNY.

Of course, the soundtrack to Dune was done by none other than Hans Zimmer. As for the voice, it's likely actually the work of rhythm vocalist Loire Cotler, who recorded in her closet in Brooklyn and used inspirations from South Indian vocal percussion to John Coltrane’s saxophone.

“When you start to hybridize these far-flung influences and techniques, interesting sounds start to happen,” she told the New York Times. “It’s a vocal technique called ‘Hans Zimmer.’”

Well, do you hear the similarity? LMK in the comments!
