Paulina Porizkova shared a video of her very own “Baywatch moment” in which she frolicked the beach in a bikini.
She ran the shoreline despite having hip arthritis that makes running not “exactly comfortable.”
“Always wanted to do this in slow-mo, but I thought instead I post the real version, me TRYING to look like a Baywatch babe,” she wrote.
When Paulina Porizkova is in vacation mode, she doesn’t care if she has arthritis—she’s running on the beach in her bathing suit. The 56-year-old model and body positivity enthusiast shared a video of her “Baywatch moment” on July 17 while in Costa Rica, and that’s truly what it was.
Rocking a blue bikini, she ran down the shoreline, wet hair wicking her face. She made the moment look effortless and was all smiles passing the camera, but admitted in the caption that running tends to cause her pain.
“Here’s my Baywatch moment! Always wanted to do this in slow-mo, but I thought instead I post the real version, me TRYING to look like a Baywatch babe,” she wrote. “It’s no secret to my friends that I hate running. I have some arthritis in my hips (so much for having the body of a 30 year old) and running isn’t exactly comfortable. Also, I need to run for a reason, like AWAY from a bear or TO a great sample sale.😜”
Still, she prevailed for the sake of Instagram, and everyone loved it—even an original Baywatch girl Gena Lee Nolin commented on her form. “😂😂😂 great job!” she wrote. “My slo-mo motivation was always a hot fudge sundae….🍨❤️🔥.”
“For someone that hates running you look like a natural for real,” trainer Ashley Borden commented. “Everything about this video is beautiful,” someone else wrote.
The rest of her time in Costa Rica was spent observing monkeys, lounging by the pool, sipping milk directly from coconuts, and hiking to discover waterfalls.”"Good thing I always wear a bikini to hike in the jungle.😜,” she captioned a separate clip in which she stood beneath one of the falls. “I should also add that we got totally lost after this, and wandered the jungle for about an hour before finding our way.”
In another bikini shot, she posed outside the villa where she stayed, praising its relaxing and gorgeous atmosphere. “I have come here to heal repeatedly. I don’t know what it is about being here, but my anxiety drops to nearly undetectable, and I feel like I get to pause all the stress of life,” she wrote. “The minute I leave, it all comes rushing in again, but aaah, I can live for those moments of peace.”
