Paul George has no idea he met Baker Mayfield, immediately owns it
Well, this is awkward.
Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, in the neighborhood after Oklahoma’s epic Rose Bowl loss to Georgia, took in the Oklahoma City Thunder win over the Clippers in L.A. on Thursday night.
Thunder forward Paul George took a victory lap before heading to the tunnel. After giving a hug to a friend on the baseline, George showed some Oklahoma love for a fellow Sooner State athlete when Mayfield approached him from the stands.

Oh, wait. That’s not love. That’s complete indifference followed by an effort to move on as quickly as possible.
It didn’t take long for George to recognize the dis. About 30 minutes after the above video made its way to Twitter, he reached out to show some actual love for Mayfield.
All good my dude! Good win!!!!

Mayfield was cool about it. He knows the score. The trope that football players are harder to market than basketball players because their faces are obscured by face masks holds true.
