With that in mind, we couldn’t help but take a deeper look into Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ love life. In doing so, we learned that not only is Patrick football goals, but, with longtime girlfriend-turned-fiancée Brittany Matthews by his side, he might just be future husband goals, too.
Who is Brittany Matthews?

When did Patrick meet Brittany?
Patrick and Brittany’s story began when they were in high school. After meeting at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, the pair went to prom together in 2013 and have been inseparable ever since.
How long have Patrick and Brittany been together?
In the eight years since their prom, Patrick and Brittany have moved from Texas to Kansas City, where they live with their two dogs, Steel (a pit bull) and Silver (a cane corso). They've been together for almost a decade!
When did they get engaged?
After dating for eight years, Patrick popped the question and Brittany (obviously) said yes. In a post celebrating their engagement, Brittany wrote, “On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us. It’s always us, it’s always you and me. The words you looked into my eyes and said to me at this moment, will NEVER leave my mind! You made this day perfect, you took my entire breath away and I could not have imagined anything better. I love you, forever and always! Cheers to spending our lifetime together and an inseparable bond.”
The engagement took place at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play. But the celebration didn’t end there. In a follow-up post, Brittany shared that Patrick made an entire day of it.
“He put so much thought into this special day and Im just still in awe of how perfect it was😭💞
Love you forever ❤️,” she captioned the photo series of their romantic outdoor candlelit dinner.
What’s next for the power couple?
Not quite a month after their engagement, Patrick and Brittany announced that they’re expecting their first child.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Brittany captioned the photo announcement.
A few weeks later, the couple took to Instagram to share their gender reveal, which adorably showcased their dogs walking down a white paper aisle, leaving pink footprints in their wake. “Can’t wait to be a family of 5💕 #babygirl,” Brittany wrote, accompanying the gallery post.
