Patrick Dempsey Just Called Kate Walsh "Radiant" on Instagram and 'Grey's' Fans Are Losing It

• Patrick, whose character was Derek Shepherd, left Grey's Anatomy in 2015, while Kate, a.k.a. Addison Montgomery, departed in 2012.

Patrick Dempsey is torturing a lot of Grey's Anatomy fans right now, whether he realizes it not.

It all started on Monday, when Patrick commented on Kate Walsh's latest Instagram of herself advertising her Boyfriend Perfume car fresheners. As fans of the show already know, Kate and Patrick played a divorced couple on the ABC medical drama, until Kate left Grey's for good in season 6. By the looks of it, they're still friends, even though their characters — Dr. Derek Shepherd and Dr. Addison Montgomery — had a rather rocky relationship.

"Looking radiant my lady," he wrote on the post, to which Kate responded: "Kitty, I LAVA u," with a heart emoji.

Naturally, this sent Grey's fans into an absolute frenzy. Some tagged Ellen Pompeo, while others wrote things like "this comment broke me" and "pls come back to Grey’s Anatomy 😭😭😭😍😍😍."

Similarly, Patrick sent Grey's fans spinning last January when he commented "beautiful" on another one of Kate's photos. Despite the fact that Patrick has been married to his wife, Jillian, for about 21 years, his note had fans wishing the two would get together in real life.

But even though some fans haven't moved on, Patrick and Kate definitely have. Since hanging up his scrubs, Patrick has starred in the movie Bridget Jones's Baby, and appeared in several TV series including Devils, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, and Micronesian Blues. Meanwhile, Kate has gone on to star in 13 Reasons Why, Full Circle, The Umbrella Academy, and more.

Nevertheless, to Grey's fans, they'll forever be known as Addison and McDreamy.
