Apparently you can’t just show up with your cat as your carry-on for your flight without letting the airline know in advance. (Photo: Thinkstock)
According to Norwegian police, a woman abandoned her pet cat at Oslo’s Gardermoen airport after she was told she could not bring the animal on the plane.
The woman, who was in her thirties, had not made prior arrangements with Norwegian Airlines about bringing her feline on board.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the woman was so worried about missing her flight that she abandoned the poor kitty in the corner of the airport.
Police said she returned to the check in desk thirty minutes later. Camera footage showed her abandoning the cat.
The animal was taken to a nearby animal shelter and the woman could be charged with animal cruelty.
